Managing the categories of products

eDock allows you to organize the products in categories.

The categories can be created “manually” or from the importation of a .csv file (importing the products you will have also the categories).

Starting from the categorization it is possible to delete products. It is important to face this subject because the elimination of products can cause the closure of listings on marketplaces.

In order to delete the product massively you just have to delete the category they are in.

eDock> Products

Select the folder

Select options

Click on save

If you use a CSV list file:

To filter the product categories to import you have to go to:

eDock> Products> Manage Synchronizations (top-left arrow)  

Select the list you want to manage the category from

Click on: Modify registration

Click on: register to a new category

(You will have to register, setting eventually the reloads, for the categories you want to use)

Select: every category

Reporting for the background activities on eDock

Report file CSV “List”

You can find it:

Via Email, it shows: Errors and/or warnings

Via Email, it shows: Product creation/update

eDock> Activity Log, it shows: Product creation/update

You receive that only if you create or modify products with a synchronisation via a CSV File.

It contains: products and quantities

How: the product is uploaded on eDock, you have to include an address related to the web space where the file is located.

Where: eDock> Products> new managing/eDock> Products> Manage Synchronization

Frequency: scheduled 1/2 times a day, eDock takes the file from a given web space at list once a day.

NB: even if only an error is warning, the entire file cannot be imported.

Report file eBay update for automatic listings

You can find it:

Via email, it shows: listings created/closed/modified + errors and/or warnings

You will receive that only if you use the rules for automatic listings

It contains: title, subtitle, description, SKU, etc. (every pieces of information useful to create a listing)

How: following the creation directly on eDock

Where: eDock> Markets> eBay> Auto-listing rules

Report Massive listings

You can find it on:

eDock> activity log, it shows: products created/closed/modified + errors and/or warnings

You will receive that only if you use:

Massive listings

It contains: title, subtitle, description, SKU, etc. (every pieces of information useful to create a product)

How: the product is uploaded on eDock

Where: eDock> Markets> eBay> Massive listings

Report Amazon/Pixplace update

You can find it on:

eDock> Activity log, it shows: products that are not created

Sending the products to Amazon from eDock (eDock> Markets> Amazon/Pixplace> Send Products)

It contains: errors on the products’ creation (only if there are errors, you will not receive any notification if the products are created regularly)

You will receive that only if you use Amazon and/or Pixplace as selling markets

Report Danea update

You can find it:

Via Email, it shows: product created and/or modified

eDock> activity register, it shows: product created and/or modified

You will receive that only if you have the integration with the managing program Danea.
